Responsibilities
Develop, deliver, and maintain training programs that ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Actively engage with employees in the field – building relationships, providing instruction, and being a visible, approachable resource
Foster a positive and inclusive learning culture that promotes accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
Assess employee proficiency on production processes and equipment operation; partner with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to address gaps and strengthen reliability
Facilitate daily shift meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to communicate priorities and reinforce safe, consistent practices
Coach and mentor employees, providing feedback, guidance, and development opportunities to build skills and promote growth
Support the implementation and standardization of operational best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous improvement initiatives through training
Maintain accurate training records, competency evaluations, and progress tracking for employees and crews
Qualification
Required
5+ years' experience in industrial, chemical, or manufacturing operations, with strong knowledge of plant processes and equipment
Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and mentor employees at all levels
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust and engage effectively with diverse teams
Proven commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and quality standards
Ability to develop and deliver clear, effective training materials and presentations
Strong organizational and documentation skills, with experience maintaining training records and competency evaluations
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt training to meet operational needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar tools; experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus
