Airport Operations Security Coordinator
NEOGOV is seeking an Airport Operations Security Coordinator to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements for commercial airports. The role is responsible for airport security and safety, including managing airfield operations, snow removal, and coordinating with emergency responders.

Responsibilities
Manages ongoing inspection of airfield operations and facilities to ensure compliance with the Airport Certification Manual under Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139 (FAR Part 139) and other applicable federal regulations; interprets and applies all information from FAA Advisory Circulars
Ensures safety of Airport for aviation users by observing runway, weather, and airfield conditions; issues accurate and timely Airport Condition Reports including but not limited to NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen)
Monitors, coordinates, and performs all snow removal operations; makes strategic decisions based on snowfall; operates heavy equipment for snow removal from all runways, taxiways, apron areas, and customer parking areas; communicates with ATCT and aircraft; conducts runway friction tests
Acts as on scene Incident Commander during emergencies; establishes unified command with fire, law enforcement or medical responders; participates fully in the Incident Command System
Monitors all access points to secured/SIDA in compliance with 49 CFR Part 1542; ensures daily, mandatory quota of random badge inspections/prohibited items checks; inspects all incoming goods to be provided to the restricted area of the Airport; cooperates with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to implement and maintain Airport Security Program; coordinates and facilitates annual TSA inspection; maintains the security of badging system and multiple safety checks throughout the Airport
Supports the relationship between Pitkin County government and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors, and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Airside Movement Area Driving within three months of hire
NIMS/ICS Certifications (100, 200, NIMS 700,800) within 6 months of hire
First aid and CPR certification within six months of hire
Up to one year interpreting and applying regulations
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
1-3 years of experience in airport operations or facilities
3 plus years of experience in airport operations or facilities
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Private Pilot's License
AAAE ACE OPS or ACE Security or AAAE Certified Member (CM) Certification
NIMS 300
Incident Commander training
Snow Boss training
