Responsibilities

Assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects of a variety of sizes and complexities

Network with clients of a diverse culture of private, local, state, and federal agencies

Work predominantly in the office, with some fieldwork required

Required

A four-year degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with an emphasis in bridge engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited university

Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

0-3 years of experience

Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated and eager to learn

Preferred

Master's Degree in Structural Engineering

Internship in the structural design of bridges and/or buildings and similar structures

Successful completion of the following: structural/bridge engineering course work (preferred): Prestressed Design, Reinforced Concrete Design, Steel Design, Structural Dynamics or Earthquake Engineering, Foundation Design, Timber Design

Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and any Department of Transportation (WSDOT, IDT or ODOT) bridge design, bridge standard details, bridge design manuals or construction standards and protocols

Experience with computer analysis software systems including AutoCAD, PGSuper, Risa 3D, MathCAD, and Bluebeam Revu

Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team
