$0/yr - $100K/yrThe American Bar Foundation (ABF) is inviting applications for the William H. Neukom Fellows Research Chair in Diversity and Law, a one-year visiting position. The successful candidate will engage in empirical research on diversity in legal contexts and participate in the ABF intellectual community.
Responsibilities
Participate actively in the ABF intellectual community
Spend a substantial amount of time in residence at the ABF offices on Northwestern University's downtown Chicago campus
Participate in the ABF’s expanding program of research and dialogue on diversity and law
Make at least one formal research presentation to the ABF community
Qualification
Required
Outstanding scholars with distinguished records of empirical research on diversity and law
Ability to participate actively in the ABF intellectual community
Willingness to spend a substantial amount of time in residence at the ABF offices on Northwestern University's downtown Chicago campus
Participation in the ABF's expanding program of research and dialogue on diversity and law
Ability to make at least one formal research presentation to the ABF community
Submission of a curriculum vitae
Submission of a letter of application
Submission of a brief (no more than 2-page) description of current research and the topic on which you would be working as Neukom Chair
Submission of a list of three references
Preferred
Applicants from all social science disciplines, law, and the social science-adjacent humanities
Contributions to the community through scholarship, mentorship, and/or service
Encouragement of applicants from historically underrepresented groups and backgrounds in sociolegal research
