Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses. They are seeking an experienced Display Test Engineer to work with cross-functional teams in developing and implementing optical metrology and semiconductor electrical test solutions for AR displays.

Responsibilities

Define, design and develop optical metrology including hardware engineering, test software and instrument qualification

Define, design and develop semiconductor electrical driver and measurement solution including hardware engineering, test software and instrument qualification

Develop benchtop and production instrumentation to characterize complex optical metrics and electrical specs

Collect and perform statistical analysis on metrology data to correlate to performance metrics

Explore novel optical metrology technologies and work with suppliers on prototype development

Lead full cycle of tester development against engineering requirement specifications. Take complete ownership of transferring metrology technologies from R&D to mass production

Establish and perform tester alignment and calibration procedures and ensure testers are performing as intended and providing accurate data

Work with engineering design team(s) to clarify/refine performance metric definition for test solution implementation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product development and launch

Required

BS degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience or Advanced Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience

Hands-on experience in optical metrology development from concept to system validation

In-depth knowledge of imaging optics, optical metrology and characterization

Hands-on experience in semiconductor or electrical board test development from concept to implementation

In-depth knowledge of digital logic, mix signal, microprocessors and semiconductor devices

Experience in test automation (instrument control, data collection and analysis) using Python, C#, LabView or Matlab

Proficiency in clear communication and presentation
