Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for the development of the next generation product line solutions. This role involves specifying, designing, verifying, and testing highly integrated computing and graphics systems, with responsibilities including developing requirements and driving product architecture discussions.

Responsibilities

Develop requirements for a highly integrated DAL A computing system in accordance with industry guidance (ARP4754B) and program plans

Drive the product architecture discussions, focusing on designing systems that are not just effective but also certifiable. This requires close collaboration with Hardware, Software, Safety, and Security teams

10% travel as needed

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Experience with safety critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B)

Experience authoring and validating requirements

Preferred

Experience with the avionics equipment certification process

Experience working with stakeholders to generate concepts of operations and use cases

Experience authoring in-depth technical documents

Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software

Experience developing automated tests utilizing scripting

Excellent communication skills for both internal and external customers
