Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate post-certification mechanical design change efforts, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
Manage updates to 2D drawings and 3D CAD models (NX & CATIA), maintaining configuration control, traceability, and design integrity
Review, approve, and validate design solutions for performance, safety, manufacturability, and certification compliance
Assess and resolve integration impacts across mechanical, structural, and systems disciplines to ensure continued airworthiness
Develop ROM cost estimates and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management to plan and implement design changes
Oversee engineering documentation and data within PLM systems (Teamcenter, Polarion, Enovia), ensuring accurate tracking and change control
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to address design issues, support investigations, and drive corrective actions
Maintain compliance with FAA/EASA and internal design approval processes, ensuring proper documentation and certification alignment
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, promoting best practices in design and configuration management

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience

Preferred

Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
Collaborative team player with effective interpersonal and written/oral skills
Proficient with NX, CATIA, and PLM tools (Teamcenter, Polarion, Enovia)
Experienced in industry-specific technologies and design tools
Applied knowledge of FAA/EASA requirements and certification processes
Technical experience in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, gained through education and hands-on experience
