Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for complete system design from conceptual level to production design of Marine Ventilation and Air Conditioning. The role involves performing calculations, using engineering software, and supporting production and testing activities.

Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equal and have a minimum of 5 -7 years of shipyard or marine HVAC design experience

Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word) and AutoCAD

Equipment selection and incorporation of ventilation and cooling systems for complete design of vessels

Military or government design experience with supporting calculations/design reviews

Knowledge of SNAME 4-16, ASHRAE, or similar design criteria

Must be self-motivated and exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills

Familiarity with CFR, ABS, NVIC, SOLAS, and USCG rules and regulations for mechanical systems along with other applicable regulations
