Projects Inc. is a manufacturer of complex small components machined for the Aerospace and Power Systems industries. They are seeking a 2nd Shift Deburr Technician to operate deburring tools and ensure parts meet customer requirements while adhering to close tolerances.

Responsibilities

Grind, sand, clean, filing and/or polish parts to correct defects

Prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools to meet finish requirements while holding extremely close tolerances

Move controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding and polishing processes

Verify quality of finished workpieces through inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions, or testing them in working machinery

Operation of multiple deburr tools and use of a downdraft tables

Remove completed workpieces from equipment or worktables, using hand tools, and place workpieces in containers

Works from blueprints, written and verbalized instructions

Checks height, depth and thickness using calipers and surface conditions visually

Uses thread gages to verify thread conformance

May rotate into other positions within the team as required to meet production requirements

Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled

Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.)

Problem-solves individually or as part of a group as job duties require

May be required to work overtime
