Responsibilities

Identifies, procures, inspects, repairs, and performs maintenance on flight helmets, oxygen masks, survival kits, and torso harnesses
Installs/removes aircraft survival kits and services emergency oxygen bottles
Assists flight crewmembers with preflight preparations and post flight procedures
Maintains equipment inspection records, publications, and Air Force Technical Orders
Conducts Ground Egress Training for Pilots and performs Aircrew Flight Equipment Fit Checks
Familiarizes company and customer flight crewmembers with escape and survival techniques
Assists Human Factors, Crew Station Engineering, and Special Projects by providing aircrew equipment requirements
Works flexible hours to support flight test schedules

Qualification

Required

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of Aircrew Flight Equipment and/or Life Support or other relevant experience for Principal Flight Test Technician
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of Aircrew Flight Equipment and/or Life Support or other relevant experience for Sr Principal Flight Test Technician
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
Ability to work a flexible schedule, to support flight schedule
Able to organize and perform duties with minimum supervision
Have good written and verbal communication
Work well with peers, aircrew members and supervisors/managers

Preferred

Transitioning service member or veteran of the U.S. military service or current military guard or reserve member
Active DOD Secret Clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 5 years
