Responsibilities
Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of contracts
Ensure contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and business objectives
Assist with the maintenance of a centralized contract repository; ensuring all contracts are properly filed, tracked, and accessible; monitoring contract deadlines and renewals; and assisting with the contracts execution process
Identify and mitigate potential risks in contract terms and conditions in partnership with Contracts leadership
Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Finance, IT, Clinical Operations, Commercial, and Medical Affairs) to understand their contract needs and provide support
Assist in developing and updating contract templates, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce risk
Assist in training and educating employees on contract-related processes and best practices
As needed, prepare reports on contract status and key metric
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting
Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts
Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Paralegal certification or equivalent experience may be considered
Experience with Conga Contracts preferred
Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
