This role involves advising on the implementation of policies and frameworks, providing independent Operational Risk oversight, and supporting principal transactions and major business changes in the Americas region.

Responsibilities

Advise Macquarie Capital’s regional Business and Risk teams on the implementation of central policies and frameworks

Providing independent Operational Risk oversight and insights for the Americas region

Supporting the approval of principal transactions and major business changes

Driving a strong risk management culture

Partnering with teams to ensure effective risk controls

Contributing to the Operational Risk team by delivering discrete projects

Conducting risk deep-dives

Preparing insightful reports

Qualification

Required

Solid understanding of Operational Risk Management frameworks, particularly within investment banking and principal investments

Experience with Operational Risk toolkits (e.g., RCSA, Scenario Analysis) and risk reporting

Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize information, identify themes, and engage stakeholders, including senior management

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

Inquisitive mindset, strong attention to detail, and working knowledge of the regulatory environment relevant to Macquarie Capital
