Responsibilities
Follow Bridge Practice production and design standards and procedures as delegated by the Project Manager
Perform and check structural engineering calculations of bridges, retaining walls and other transportation infrastructure structures using company, client, and industry standards
Participate in the preparation and checking of structural construction drawings created by teammates to meet firm and client requirements
Develop and check cost estimates
Participate in the preparation of reports and studies
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience
Licensed Professional Engineer
Experience with design and detailing of IDOT or Illinois Tollway bridge projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MicroStation
Knowledge of Structural Bridge Design Software
Ability to traverse structural sites, including heights and rough terrain
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must complete a background check
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Preferred
Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois
Previous bridge inspection experience
Master of Science in Civil Engineering
