Responsibilities

Manage and grow client relationships and projects from design through construction
Oversee the design and spec development of bridge structure projects primarily located in Iowa and some bordering states
Take a leadership role in the growth of the structures practice
Assist in the analysis, conceptualization, design and construction of projects involving bridge structures
Interact regularly with clients and other consultants including architects and civil engineers

Required

8 or more years experience in design and construction oversight of bridge structure projects in the United States
PE designation with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Structures emphasis
Strong history with successful client relationship skills
Experience must illustrate progressively greater responsibilities in project assignments
Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as this position interacts with individuals of diverse backgrounds: non-technical clients, architects, design technicians, civil engineers, the general public, developers, administrators, municipal leaders and staff
Must be a proven problem solver
Demonstrated ability to keep projects on scope, on budget and on time

Preferred

Masters-level education
Leadership / project management skills
