PATIENT ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Patient Accounting Supervisor to oversee and coordinate key elements of the hospital billing system. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims, maintaining compliance with billing regulations, and supporting the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the billing team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims and account follow-up
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and payer-specific billing regulations
Review aging reports and investigate past due accounts to determine root causes of delays
Develop and implement billing procedures and training protocols for staff
Prepare and present reports to leadership on account performance and key metrics
Act as a liaison between billing, clinical departments, providers, and external vendors
Ensure protection of sensitive patient and financial data, in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the billing team
Qualification
Required
Up-to-date knowledge of third-party contracts, regulatory compliance, and healthcare fiscal policies
Experience in hospital or physician's office accounts receivable and billing management
Experience in office management with supervisory responsibilities
Healthcare environment experience
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word and Excel) and billing software
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under deadline pressure
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Preferred
Associate's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
2–3 years of experience in hospital or physician's office accounts receivable and billing management
Prior experience in office management with supervisory responsibilities
Healthcare environment experience strongly preferred
