Configuration Management Analyst - Navy Submarine Shipbuilding Program Support
Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Management Analyst to provide logistics engineering support to the U.S. Navy Team Submarine organization. The role involves overseeing configuration management processes, providing technical support, and ensuring documentation accuracy for the COLUMBIA Class Ballistic Missile Submarine program.

Responsibilities
Be a system matter expert for Configuration Management processes and implementation to include changes to disclosures via revisions, design changes, and clean up revisions
Be an expert for non-conformance processes including the creation of Technical Variance Documents (TVD) and ship specific as-built design disclosures
Provide oversight of shipbuilder change management processes and performance while providing expert input into COLUMBIA (CLB) Class program management on change execution
Assist in providing technical support to the shipbuilder in areas of problem resolution, planning modifications, and process enhancements
Review and provide oversight of the shipbuilder’s configuration management processes
Ensure CLB Class requirements documents for configuration management (e.g. Drawing Approval Procedure and Configuration Management Plan) are up to date and accurate
Prepare and maintain the documentation needed by the project group
Manage a project so that it remains on budget, on schedule, and meets the required quality level
Implement CLB Class TVD reduction efforts (e.g. proper classification of non-conformance documentation for inclusion in the SDI)
Oversee the unique configuration management processes including Missile Tube configuration file and UK DDTR processes
Interface with multiple groups and teams within PMS 397 involved with CLB Class configuration management
Qualification
Required
5 or more years of experience in manufacturing/production support
Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Good time management skills
Proven excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to pay attention to details and to work based on available data and not guesswork
Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively
Ability to be flexible both in relation to job-specification and schedules
Required clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance
Preferred
Experience with Navy acquisition and Submarine Programs
Experience interfacing with an end item customer
Recent work experience in Team Submarine
