The Sales/Intake Attorney will be the first point of contact for clients, responsible for engaging and converting leads while providing reassurance and guidance throughout the client journey.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Engage and Convert: Conduct daily consultations with ~20 qualified leads. Build rapport quickly, identify needs, and close client retainers
Educate and Advise: Develop a strong understanding of Tennessee criminal law and our firm’s approach so you can confidently answer client questions
Empathize and Reassure: Clients are often scared and overwhelmed — your professionalism, patience, and empathy will turn anxiety into trust
Represent the Brand: Every call reflects our core promise: zealous advocacy and white-glove service. You are the first impression of Michael & Associates, and you set the tone for the entire client journey
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Tennessee
Strong understanding of Tennessee criminal law
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport quickly with clients
Empathy and professionalism in client interactions
Experience in sales or client intake roles is a plus
Preferred
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Familiarity with digital marketing and data-driven systems
Previous experience in a criminal defense firm
