Responsibilities
Design and document new mechanical systems for renovations and new construction projects
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts for HVAC and plumbing systems
Conduct forensic investigations of MEP systems to identify failures, performance issues, or non-compliance
Analyze system performance and develop practical solutions, repair plans, or replacement strategies
Perform field inspections, testing, and data collection; review drawings, specifications, and maintenance records
Support commissioning and construction administration to verify design intent and system performance
Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and recommendations for clients
Lead projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through completion
Build and maintain strong client relationships; identify opportunities for additional services
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar
Registered Professional Engineer in which offices/projects are located
8+ years of MEP consulting services, which may include Forensics (expert witness/litigation support) and/or commissioning/retro-commissioning experience
Experience managing projects, selling the business and promoting MEP practices
