Electrical Helper
The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking an Electrical Helper for their Industrial department in Glen Burnie, MD. The role involves assisting journeymen mechanics and performing various tasks related to the construction, repair, and maintenance of marine electrical systems.

Responsibilities
Installing neat cable bands with protective rubber
Installing transit blocks in the transit frame with proper calculations to cable and frame sizes; compressing to complete water tight integrity, installing the packing deck tubes
De-installing cable, removing cable per verbal or written instruction from shipboard cable ways
Wiring of components that make up a complete marine electrical/electronic system; such as radars, etc
Fabricating connectors utilized in marine vessel systems, displaying ability and aptitude to terminate connectors (D-SUB, Coaxial, Ethernet, etc)
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

This position requires a Public Trust clearance
Selectee subject to successful completion of pre-employment medical exam
