Responsibilities
Administration of construction, design/build, engineering and facilities management complex-construction projects
Pre-design phase services, design phase services, procurement phase services, construction services, claims services, administration services, and technical specialty services
Reviewing, preparing and making professional recommendations on scope of work documents, submittals and proposed changes
Determining the value of acceptable work in place
Active participation in the task order Quality Assurance Surveillance Program and other requirements set forth under the Contract
Proactively notifying the Government of any violations and/or potential impacts of any aspect of risks involved in the project and assisting in preparing and updating the risk management plan
Providing critical review of design drawings and recommendations
Overseeing renovation projects from inception to close-out
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be eligible and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (i.e., pass a federal background check), as well as complete the necessary processes to receive a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge
Be able to quickly understand and master the requirements of the local state and federal jurisdictions and the requirements of each in relation to this project
Must possess communication, language, and software skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy
The CM-MP shall have proficiency in Building and Other Code and permitting requirements, materials and methods and Construction processes
They shall have the ability to proactively notify the Government of any violations and/or potential impacts of any aspect of risks involved in the project and assist in preparing and updating the risk management plan
The CM-MP shall have the capability of reviewing, preparing and making professional recommendations on scope of work documents, submittals and proposed changes
They must have the capability of determining the value of acceptable work in place
They must take an active part in the task order Quality Assurance Surveillance Program and other requirements set forth under the Contract
Possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy
Plumbing expertise, particularly in designing and maintaining high-purity water systems like RO (Reverse Osmosis) water piping systems
HVAC/R knowledge, especially related to maintaining sterile environments and controlling humidity levels
Mechanical systems proficiency, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues to ensure system reliability
Understanding of water treatment processes and microbial control to address high bacteria level test reports
Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations, particularly those related to healthcare facilities and laboratory environments
Experience with preventive maintenance and system optimization to minimize bacterial growth
Familiarity with clean room design and maintenance principles
Strong problem-solving skills to address complex issues like persistent bacterial contamination
Project management abilities to oversee renovation projects from inception to close-out
Provide critical review of design drawings; Provide recommendations / problem-solving skillset
Understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in water system design
Expertise in water quality testing and analysis to interpret high bacteria level test reports
Knowledge of sterilization and disinfection techniques for water systems
Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems for monitoring water quality and system performance
The CM-MP shall possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a high-level Specialization in Plumbing from an accredited institution of higher learning
The individual shall have a minimum of six (6) years of experience in both design and construction
