Senior Account Manager - Retail

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with existing accounts through personal visits and follow-up on a regular basis
Secure account penetration and loyalty, by adding overall value to customer accounts; improving current programs and introducing new innovations and reporting
Drive engagement with customers at all levels to ensure needs are met, apprise customers of mutual performance, new products, programs and market trends through periodic and formal Business Reviews
Develop and qualify leads within respective geography to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling, partner-selling, lead-generation campaigns, and modern social selling techniques
Gain new business and incremental revenue to meet sales targets
Retain, manage, and grow the existing customer base
Provide multi-product solution opportunities through presentations, training, and demonstrations
Provide customer training and support as needed across the customer's entire enterprise
Collaborate with retail leaders and support teams to ensure profit and value propositions
Accurately complete administrative duties; budgeting, forecasting and expenses
Perform work in a safe manner and use appropriate personal protective equipment

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years outside sales experience in Distributor Sales, Chemical Sales, Manufacturing, or Food Service
Proven negotiation, relationship management, communication and presentation skills
Strategic thinking, financial acumen, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills and strong analytical skills
Expertise with Microsoft Office products and Salesforce CRM
30-50% travel (overnights as required), must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Preferred

2+ years of Food Safety and Sanitation experience
