Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventative maintenance of life safety (fire detection, security, CCTV, & monitoring) product lines
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve them via physical equipment installation or software changes
Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule
Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation program via the laptop computer
Maintain customer satisfaction for continual company growth
Complete assigned tasks on time with little supervision
Support emergency service call-outs on a rotational basis
Must be willing to travel within NC/SC for day trips and work extended hours as needed
Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time
Qualification
Required
2 or more years of experience in commercial/industrial security systems or equivalent low-voltage electrical experience
Understanding of low voltage electrical, including troubleshooting skills and instruments
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word documents as they relate to inspection reporting
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to program systems via laptop using minor to complex equations and thought processes (MSS will provide factory training)
Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment
Knowledge of computer networking, IP addressing, and connectivity
Knowledge of or desire to learn security systems and CCTV
Possess or obtain knowledge of NFPA, State, and local fire codes and be willing to become NICET certified
Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC)

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
Must successfully pass a background check & drug test
