Responsibilities
Installation and Setup
Hardware Installation: Set up and install mining hardware such as ASIC miners, and other related components
Configuration: Configure mining hardware and software to ensure they are properly set up for efficient mining
Maintenance
Routine Inspections: Perform regular inspections of mining hardware to identify and address potential issues
Cleaning: Keep mining equipment clean and free of dust to prevent overheating and maintain efficiency
Firmware Updates: Update firmware on mining equipment to the latest versions to ensure optimal performance and security
Troubleshooting
Diagnose Problems: Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues that impact mining performance
Repairs: Perform repairs on faulty hardware components, such as replacing defective parts （powers and fans etc）
Monitoring and Optimization
Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of mining hardware and software to ensure efficient operation
Optimization: Adjust settings and configurations to optimize the performance and profitability of mining operations
Networking and Connectivity
Network Setup: Assist in setting up and maintaining the network infrastructure for mining operations
Connectivity Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues that affect the mining hardware's connection to the mining pool or network
Cooling and Power Management
Cooling Systems: Monitor and maintain cooling systems to prevent overheating of mining hardware
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, hardware configurations, and any issues encountered
Reporting: Provide regular reports on the status and performance of mining equipment to supervisors or management
Safety and Compliance
Safety Procedures: Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents
Compliance: Ensure that mining operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards
Collaboration
Team Coordination: Work closely with other team members, including network administrators, software engineers, and operations managers, to ensure smooth and efficient mining operations
Continuous Learning
Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in mining technology, hardware, and software to continuously improve skills and knowledge
Qualification
Required
Prefer Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
At least 2 years of experience in a IT role, preferably in a IT troubleshooting environment
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and best practices
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
