Field Supervisor (Telecom)

The Field Supervisor - Telecom oversees daily operations of fiber optic and OSP construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient work while managing materials, equipment, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Construction
Responsibilities
Supervise and direct daily activities of telecom construction crews, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to verify scope accuracy and field feasibility
Monitor progress, provide daily reports on productivity, materials, and work quality, and collaborate with Project Managers to address field issues or schedule delays
Enforce compliance with OSHA, DOT, and GAC Enterprises' safety policies and conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Manage and verify material deliveries, equipment usage, and field inventory to maintain project efficiency and control costs
Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to address delays, resource gaps, and field issues
Conduct quality inspections and ensure proper installation of fiber, conduit, and related infrastructure in accordance with specifications
Train, mentor, and lead field employees, promoting a safety-first culture, accountability, and professional development
Resolve on-site conflicts, support process improvements, and perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 3-5 years of experience supervising OSP or telecom construction projects
Valid Drive's License
OSHA 30 Certification or equivalent required
In-depth understanding of OSP fiber construction methods, standards, and materials
Ability to read and interpret telecom blueprints, splicing diagrams, and as-built documentation
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills
Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and vendors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and construction tracking tools (e.g., FieldWire)
Strong time management and multitasking ability under fast-paced conditions
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's in Construction Management preferred
