Responsibilities
Service Tech I - The Service Technician I is often a recent graduate from an accredited trade school entering the field of HVAC service and repair and/or has 3 or less years of experience in the field. The Service Technician I position is qualified and able to make repairs in the field but is not considered proficient enough to make diagnosis for the repairs unsupervised. The Service Technician I is expected to be proficient in the area of preventative maintenance work
Service Tech II - The Service Technician II has required accreditations including EPA certification and generally has more than 3 years’ experience in the field of HVAC service and repair. The Service Technician II position is qualified and skilled in maintaining and servicing commercial grade HVAC equipment including but not limited to unitary products up to 50-ton package units, boilers, and heat exchangers without supervision
Service Tech III - The Service Technician III has required accreditations including EPA certification and generally has more than 5 years’ experience in the field of HVAC service and repair. The Service Technician III position is qualified and skilled in maintaining and servicing commercial grade HVAC equipment, including but not limited to, unitary products up to 50-ton package units, boilers, heat exchangers, control valves, chillers (including retrofitting) without supervision
Qualification
Required
Recent graduate from an accredited trade school or has 3 or less years of experience in the field for Service Tech I
Proficient in the area of preventative maintenance work for Service Tech I
Required accreditations including EPA certification for Service Tech II and III
More than 3 years' experience in the field of HVAC service and repair for Service Tech II
Skilled in maintaining and servicing commercial grade HVAC equipment for Service Tech II
More than 5 years' experience in the field of HVAC service and repair for Service Tech III
Skilled in maintaining and servicing commercial grade HVAC equipment including unitary products up to 50-ton package units, boilers, heat exchangers, control valves, chillers (including retrofitting) for Service Tech III
Attitude, work ethic, and a willingness to learn is sought after more than skill level for Service Tech I
