Office Manager - TRIO

Morehouse College is a federally-funded institution that provides support to low-income, first-generation students. The Office Manager for the TRIO programs is responsible for administrative and programmatic support, ensuring efficient operations and meeting enrollment and retention objectives.

Responsibilities

Overseeing general office operation
Greeting visitors, answering a high-volume of incoming phone calls and delivering world-class service to our customers
Coordinating appointments and meetings and managing project directors’ calendars and schedules
Mentoring, training, and coaching our office staff and delegating assignments to ensure maximum productivity
Coordinating travel, including flight, hotel, bus, program vans, and car rental reservations
Purchasing office supplies and equipment and maintaining proper stock levels
Producing reports, composing correspondence, and drafting new contracts
Creating presentations and other management-level reports

Required

A bachelor's degree required
Five years of experience in office administration
Office management experience
Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office 365
Possess strong interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Superior office skills and proofing/editing abilities; and time management
Experience supervising staff, delegating tasks, and providing training and mentorship

Preferred

Project management training preferred, but not required
Proficiency with event planning or communications is highly desirable
