Responsibilities
Provide homework assistance and academic support to students in a variety of subjects
Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages participation and confidence
Reinforce classroom learning and help students develop effective study and organizational skills
Adapt tutoring methods to meet the individual learning needs of each student
Track student progress and communicate updates to program staff as needed
Encourage good study habits, responsibility, and a love for learning
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times
Support program activities and uphold the Boys & Girls Club’s mission and values
Qualification
Required
Prior experience working with children or tutoring students preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Comfortable working with children and families in a busy environment
Able to remain professional and positive under pressure
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
