Responsibilities

Work as a team member with other nurses, providers, and other caring professionals
Multitasker, decisive, with excellent problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills
Communicate with other disciplines to ensure client needs are being met, involved in chart monitoring—identify and carry out action plans
Review and follow detox protocols
Assist staff in high-volume shifts, prioritizing and organizing the shift, and completion of the unit scheduling
Orientation of new nurses as needed
Maintain medical equipment
Conduct medical lectures for clients as needed
Administer medications and complete MAR
Complete labs necessary for treatment (HCG, urine, BAC, glucometer)
Administer IM and SQ medications and Narcan as needed
Ensure labs are being addressed, reviewed, obtaining and transcribing physician orders
Follow proper consent procedures
Involved in Performance Improvement Projects
Maintain staff development needs and ensure records are up to date
Nursing competency and evaluation completion
Follow Evidence-Based Practice guidelines
Continued nursing training and monthly meetings to increase professional development
Nursing assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, vitals, follow detox protocols and other medical protocols along with assisting medical providers as needed

Required

Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
Current BLS card
