Department of Information Technology is seeking a Psychologist for the Murdoch Developmental Center, a state residential facility dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment programs, and providing training to staff while working within a team to support individuals with autism and severe behavior disorders.

Responsibilities
Completing assessments of cognitive and adaptive skills
Functional assessments of severe behavior disorders
Developing comprehensive training and treatment programs
Providing staff training and management services
Assisting other staff in conducting systematic analysis of intervention efforts
Participating in interdisciplinary process
Qualification
Required
A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
Be eligible for, and subsequently fulfill all requirements for licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Psychological Associate or Licensed Psychologist under provisions specified by the Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270)
Demonstrated knowledge and application of psychological principles, theories, methods and procedures especially in the area of intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities
Knowledge of behavioral assessment and interventions for individuals who have severe behavior disorders
Knowledge of teaching and maintaining adaptive skills
Knowledge, application and evaluation of psychological testing
Knowledge of effective staff training and management strategies and ability to relate appropriately to clients and staff members
