Responsibilities
You'll be installing, monitoring, and developing cutting edge software tools to maintain the Agency’s High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure
This includes supporting a PaaS Linux containerized environment ‘on-prem’ cloud offering with top tier software like Kubernetes, Docker, Rook within a DevOps culture
You will get to work with cutting edge systems which might include (but are likely not limited to) processing intensive analytics (remember, this is HPC), novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets (again, HPC!), real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring
Qualification
Required
Experience using the Linux CLI
Ability to write scripts using Bash/Python
Experience managing compute, network, memory, and storage system components
Knowledge of IaC concepts, principles, best practices and automation tools e.g., Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet
In-depth experience with troubleshooting large Linux Clusters
Familiarity of system monitoring tools e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Experience administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clusters
Experience with the Atlassian applications such as Jira, Confluence
Experience with version control systems e.g., Git
(8) years' experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Preferred
Experience using Helm to deploy Kubernetes applications
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
