NDT Technician - Level 3

Industrial Inspection & Analysis (IIA) is an emerging, high growth inspection, testing, and analytical business. They are seeking experienced NDT Level 3 Technicians to join their lab in St. Louis, MO, where the ideal candidate will work on training, testing, and procedure writing while performing hands-on nondestructive testing.

Responsibilities

Train NDT technicians in various NDT methods
Track technician hours and training for certification
Test and certify assistants and Level 1, 2 and 3 candidates who meet the qualification criteria
Write and/or approve NDT procedures and techniques, both general and client specific
Support Quality Department in audits and audit preparation
Perform hands on NDT / NDE work interfacing with the customer and directing / training Technician Assistants / Apprentices based on the specific work scope
Ensure work and used materials are compliant with manufacturer and customer specifications
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures, laws, regulations, and customer requirements
Complete applicable job reports and other paperwork as required / instructed on or before the required date as communicated by the applicable IIA representative

Required

ASNT Level 3 certification
Understand basic physical NDT principles, processes, and limitations
Provide verifiable evidence of previous certification, or completion of ASNT recommended training program for applicable method or successfully complete the training program and applicable exams
Understand mechanical concepts and spatial relationships
Knowledge of basic math
Able to read, comprehend, and prepare technical specifications and procedures
Good interpersonal skills for daily interaction with customers and fellow employees
Ability to use basic software and Outlook to generate service reports and communicate within the company, including skills to navigate web-based service literature and programs
Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license
Take and pass all pre-employment screening, including background and initial and future random drug screening
Meet or exceed quality program requirements for work experience on the applicable method and total work experience for the NDT method and level

Preferred

Preference will be given to candidates with ASNT Level 3 in RT and/or VT
