Responsibilities

Understand and apply GPDS process
Follow Robustness Engineering Disciplines (Failure Mode Avoidance)
Knowledge and application of Six Sigma and 8D
Develop ESOW (Engineering Statement of Work) and participate in the Sourcing Process (SA, ED&T review, piece and tooling cost review and CPA)
Follow the TDR process (Technical Design Review)
Release parts in FEDEBOM and WERS through the product life cycle
Support the Change Control Process
Audit and update BOM (Bill of Material) with correct part levels and usage, for prototype builds and maintain it post Job 1
Be aware of Worldwide Engineering changes and proceed accordingly
Identify validation, durability and functional test required as per SDS, WCR & ES (DVP / FEDE)
AIMS and VVT resolution (Launch issues resolution)
Define and verify engineering prototypes requirements at part level
Parts implementation/Sign-off in assembly plant & assistance with quality issues in all milestones
PDL's revisions and proceed accordingly if affected
Support VQR's, VRT's and PVT, as required
Jointly with purchasing, identify potential suppliers to develop identified parts to be localized
Jointly with STA give technical assistance to supplier through the Supplier Engagement Process
Comply with objectives set during first quarter of the year
Interact with Vehicle Dynamics, Program teams, CAD, Suppliers, and Vehicle Engineering

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree
2+ years of Chassis engineering design and release experience in an automotive domain

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree
Knowledge on materials properties
Knowledge on production processes
GPDS understanding
Robustness Engineering Disciplines
Proficient analysis capabilities
Vision and knowledge of automotive industry environment
Basic 3D CAD knowledge
Change control process
