Responsibilities
Under direct supervision prepares drawings, plans, and layouts, with all required details, from data originally prepared by others
Works from oral or written instructions, marked prints, sketches, and standard references, to produce a complete drawing with a minimum of assistance from others
Assists in taking and recording field measurements and data
Performs other duties such as preparation of bills-of-material, compilation of data and filing
Works with others of higher classifications, and may assist and check the work of others in this and lower classification
Qualification
Required
Must have mechanical and electrical aptitude as well as demonstrated drafting proficiency
One year's satisfactory experience as Drafter 'A' or equivalent
Ability to perform routine calculations using standard handbook formula
Must be familiar with, and capable of using, catalogs and reference books containing engineering data and instructions
Required minimum AAS in Engineering Design & Drafting Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology
Preferred
Four year degree preferred
