The CLI Assistant Manager of Compliance and Safety will assist in managing the safety and security program, conducting audits, and providing training to support field operations across Ohio.

Responsibilities

Align area objectives with the strategic goals of the department

Monitor annual budgets for assigned area of responsibility to maximize profitability

Assist in managing the comprehensive safety and security program for CLI Transport (CLI), Sheetz Distribution Center drivers (DC), Sheetz Bros. Kitchen drivers (SBK) and Sheetz Motor Carrier drivers (SMC)

Monitor and ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations

Conduct various safety inspections and compliance audits to ensure safety policies and practices are followed

Assist in the hiring process and manage the on boarding of new commercial motor vehicle drivers into company procedures, regulations, and safe driving

Manage company vehicle accident files, liability and subrogation claims and maintains accident registers and statistics

Assist in the documentation, investigation and reporting of vehicle crashes, driving complaints, product handling incidents

Prepare and present specific safety training materials for driver safety meetings. Attend various departmental and trade association meetings

Provide recommendations to the Director of Safety in regard to improving the company’s safety and security programs
