Responsibilities
Product Design: Design, analyze, and optimize commercial HVAC systems and components related to assembly, operation, and performance
Product Support: Support Manufacturing, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams in the operation of the product (product life cycle)
Develop Solutions: Engage with critical/high priority Engineering projects. Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of changes
Specification and Regulatory Analysis: Analyze test results and implement appropriate changes to ensure products meet technical and functional requirements
Engineer to Order: Analyze custom requests and develop unique solutions to customers
Ensure Accuracy: Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant internal and external customers
Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors on the design of new and alternative technologies
Continuous Improvement: Initiate continuous improvements for new and existing products, systems, and methods to improve performance, cost efficiency and reliability
Documentation: Work with Sales, Production, and other engineering staff to help create and maintain sales documentation
Continuous Education: Maintain a working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
3+ Years of HVAC system or component design experience
Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycle and components and problem-solving skills
Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude
Excellent personal interaction skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
