Responsibilities

Administer the Academic Summer Bridge program under the supervision of the Office of the Provost
Teach as a part of the Summer Bridge program during the summer
Teach in the department of Languages, Linguistics, and Rhetoric during the fall and spring semesters

Qualification

Extensive teaching experiencePlanning student programsMaster’s degree in EnglishCurriculum developmentCulturally diverse experiencePh.D. in EnglishEffective communication skills

Required

Master's degree in English or other closely related field from a regionally accredited university
Extensive experience teaching in developmental education
Evidence or demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
Documented experience in planning and organizing student programs
Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and team-building communication skills

Preferred

Ph.D. in English or other closely related field from a regionally accredited university
Experience with academic summer bridge programs
Experience in curriculum and faculty development
Academic experience working with a culturally diverse population
