Strada Services is seeking a Generator Technician to test and troubleshoot Generac systems. The role involves performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency service on Generac generators, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, preventive maintenance service, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency service on Generac Air-Cooled 10-26KW generators

Access and accurately identify all defective parts to be ordered

Understanding of combustion, gaseous air-cooled engines

Communicate information to customers and factory support team in an accurate, factual, and courteous manner

Ensure work scope has been performed and generator is operational

Write clear and concise service reports

Other Duties as assigned by supervision

Required

Ability to replace batteries, filters and generator components as needed, per the manufacturer recommendations

Must have own mechanics and electrical tools including meters. (Specialty tools provided by company)

Must be able to be on-call for emergency services

Must be a self-starter, work unsupervised and alone

Must be able to work in loud environments

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient in electrical systems diagnostic equipment

Excellent mechanical skills

High school diploma or equivalent required

2-5 years of field experience and knowledge of Generac air-cooled generators maintenance & repair, including automatic transfer switches

Current commercial driver's license (CDL) and clean driving record required

Able to climb utility poles and work at great heights

Physically able to work with heavy tools and equipment at heights

Must be able to lift 70 pounds at a time to carry heavy cable

Preferred

Generac Factory Certifications a plus
