Responsibilities

Schedule all surgical and endoscopic procedures accurately, coordinating with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff

Verify procedure orders, patient demographics, and insurance authorizations before scheduling

Optimize procedure room schedules to ensure efficient patient flow and resource utilization

Prepare and distribute daily procedural schedules to all relevant departments

Maintain accurate records and updates within EMR and scheduling systems

Communicate promptly regarding any schedule adjustments, cancellations, or add-on cases

Collaborate with nursing and pre-surgical teams to confirm patient readiness and completion of required documentation
