Responsibilities

Plays the role of Team Lead of the GTN & DIA Engineering teams while working very closely with the Product Managers & BAs to transform business requirements into scalable & efficient design

Own & lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable web app (GTN) and data pipelines, extracts, & replications (DIA) for large and complex datasets (structured, semi-structured, unstructured)

Build robust data integration and replication frameworks that integrate data from various source systems together in our Data Cloud for analytical purposes

Optimize pipeline performance, monitoring, and error-handling for reliability and cost-efficiency

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, SOC2, etc.)

Support migration to modern cloud-native architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure)

Document processes, system context, pipelines, and data flows for cross-team visibility

Collaborate with the other Team Leads & Architects on architecture and system design efforts

Write efficient, well-structured complex database queries and contribute to schema design discussions

Required

10+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering & Analytics field (Primary) and Web Application Engineering (Secondary)

Proven track record in leading teams of Data/Web App Engineers (Dev & QA) who are fully committed on delivering high quality solutions to the business problems

Hands-on experience with at least one of the programming languages (Python is MUST)

Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries in any relational or columnar database

Strong skills in designing and enhancing DB models

Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Airflow, or similar)

Strong skills in designing and maintaining Web Apps (Frameworks: ORM, API, Javascript)

Hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.)

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and reliability

Ability to create and interpret technical diagrams using tools like Lucidchart

Experience with agile & documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence
