Responsibilities
Be responsible for geotechnical subsurface investigations related to building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, landslide remediations, and pavements
Coordinate and monitor subsurface drilling, classify soil and rock samples, prepare boring logs, develop laboratory testing programs, interpret laboratory data, perform geotechnical analyses and prepare detailed geotechnical reports to be reviewed by a project manager
Perform field reconnaissance to identify potential geohazards for proposed developments
Include erosion and sedimentation control inspection, as well as construction materials testing which will include concrete, foundation, masonry and pavement construction testing
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering
0-5 years of consulting Geotechnical Engineering experience
Ability to speak and write professionally
Highly motivated, self-starter with the desire to learn quickly and succeed professionally
E.I.T. or P.E
