Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of new products and enhancements to meet technical, safety, and customer specifications
Oversee product development lifecycle using SolidWorks and other CAD tools from concept through validation and launch
Guide prototyping and testing efforts, ensuring robust performance and manufacturability
Research and integrate new technologies, equipment, and processes to enhance performance and sustainability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, sales, and external suppliers
Solve complex engineering challenges with creativity, precision, and a focus on continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
7+ years of design experience, preferably in furniture, consumer products, or mechanical systems
Advanced proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), drawing creation, and FEA
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM)
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a face-paced environment
Preferred
Experience designing consumer or ergonomic products
Demonstrated innovation and a passion for continuous learning
Strong analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
