The Microfabrication Summer Intern will apply their science and engineering skills to create and improve wafer fabrication processes while contributing to national security and scientific discovery.

Responsibilities

Create and improve wafer fabrication processes by designing, running and analyzing experiments for processes supporting technologies like superconducting electronics, quantum computing circuits, radiation hardened electronics and charge coupled imagers

Potential focus areas include photolithography, reactive ion etching, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition, wafer bonding, wet chemical processing and ion implantation

Required

Undergraduate background in physics, chemistry, engineering or statistics

Willingness to work in a cleanroom
