Account Manager, Energy Efficiency (Field-Based)

ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, and they are seeking an Account Manager to support energy efficiency programs in under-served multifamily communities in Michigan. Responsibilities

Identify existing multifamily buildings and new construction developments; review building plans and specifications to recommend energy efficiency program opportunities
Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, property managers, developers, contractors, and customers to stay informed about upcoming retrofit, renovation, and new construction projects, and provide tailored energy efficiency recommendations
Collaborate with regional and national teams to provide national cohesiveness and bring efficiencies & best practices to your client’s programs
Schedule and perform field site assessments with customers who are participating in an energy efficiency project
Record field visits and communications in customer relationship management tool
Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 30% to 50% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)

Required

Bachelor's degree in (Energy, Business Admin, Communication, Environmental Sciences, or related fields)(candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)
2+ years of professional work experience, preferably in single-family, multifamily, or commercial and industrial sectors
1+ years of experience in building science, energy resources, or energy policy
Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
BPI certification within six months of start date (if not already certified)
Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 30% to 50% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)

Preferred

Expertise in business management, sales, building science, energy resources, or energy policy
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn ICF database/project tracking system
Expertise in multifamily or commercial and industrial sectors
Industry certifications including, but not limited to: BPI, PMP, CEM, LEED
Professional affiliations including, but not limited to: BPI, RESNET, AESP, MEECA, MEEA, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Experience managing junior staff
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
