Responsibilities

Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements
Evaluate internal accounting control systems, audit risk, materiality, and compliance with generally accepted auditing standards via inquiry, observation, and review
Prepare audit and review work papers to support the work completed
Assist on portions of larger audit engagements
Perform year-end and interim auditing procedures, including inventory observations
In conjunction with the in-charge, prepare concise and accurate work papers, which properly communicate the unique issues of the area being tested
Communicate the status of projects regularly and identify areas for efficiencies, utilizing available technology tools or new testing methods
Learning to perform all phases of an engagement including financial statement preparation
Develop skills related to business development - begins to develop referral sources, which may include involvement in community, business and professional organizations
Apply audit and accounting principles and techniques on the engagements to include: FASB's and SSARSs/GAAS
Basic understanding of industry specific audit issues which may include any of the following areas: financial statement audits, regulatory compliance, due diligence, process and controls, or assertions and agreements

Required

Bachelor's degree, required
1+ years' professional services firm experience, required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams), required
Valid CPA license or actively working toward obtaining the license
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
Knowledge of current audit and accounting concepts
Client Focused
Be willing and available to travel to serve clients
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future

Preferred

Experience working in a CPA firm, preferred
Attitude is everything. Must be a team player and enjoy engaging with clients
