Quality Inspector

Kaney Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for performing 1st piece inspections and conducting internal process audits. The role involves maintaining positive working relationships with other departments and assisting with First Article Inspections (FAI’s).

Responsibilities

1st piece inspection per customer and company requirements
Perform other inspections including: raw material receiving, receiving, in-process, and/or first article inspections
Perform inspections for GR&R and Process Capability studies
Perform / assist in the Internal Auditing process
Assist with FAI’s
Maintain positive working relationships with other departments
Help manufacturing troubleshoot problems as they occur
Facilitate the Quality System

Required

Two-year degree in quality or manufacturing or equivalent experience
Thorough understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
Ability to perform dimensional inspection using wide variety of inspection equipment (simple hand tools such as caliper to Coordinate Measuring Machine)
Understanding of manufacturing processes (turning, milling, etc.)

Preferred

Lean, Six Sigma, and/or ASQ Certification a plus
Able to communicate effectively with other personnel
Experience with AS9100 Quality System
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
J-STD-001 Soldering Certified
IPC-610 Solder Inspection Certified
