Responsibilities

Implements complex digital circuit designs involving microelectronics and analog devices
Utilizes computer aided design software as an integral part of the design and development process
Performs functional tests on relevant electronic assemblies and documents results
Assists in troubleshooting problems
Research component specifications for use in designs
Prepares supporting documentation
Provides estimates of task duration
Mentors more junior engineers

Required

Typically requires 10 years of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design or related experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering required
Possess a working knowledge of laboratory test equipment used to test and troubleshoot FPGA logic designs including logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
Strong troubleshooting and debugging/testing skills, hardware design, interfacing and configuration skills
Systems and Software support/integration skills
Must have experience in technical documentation

Preferred

Experience with Quartus design tools and Aldec simulation tools a plus
