Responsibilities
Apply engineering and software design/maintenance skills to solve technical problems
Ensure that products, services, and processes meet quality and safety standards
Perform equipment testing to verify process effectiveness, safety, and compliance
Interpret engineering plans and technical drawings, contributing to the design and fabrication of test specimens
Utilize Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) tools to prepare shop drawings for model construction
Work with material specifications and fabrication methods to support testing and design processes
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of professional experience solving technical problems in engineering and/or software design/maintenance
Practical understanding of engineering concepts
Hands-on testing of equipment to ensure safe and effective operation
Proficiency with CAD software for drafting and design
Familiarity with material specifications and fabrication methods
Hands-on experience with U.S. Navy Navigation equipment and systems
Expertise in at least three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training
