10+ years expAgility Engineering and Management is seeking a senior engineer with over 10 years of experience in construction management, specifically in large steel and concrete bridges. The role involves overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, managing project schedules, and maintaining communication between stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Project oversight: Supervise daily construction activities, manage project schedules, and ensure work adheres to approved plans, specifications, and safety standards
Quality assurance: Conduct regular inspections, review material submittals, and ensure the construction meets quality control requirements
Technical liaison: Serve as the primary on-site technical contact, resolving engineering challenges and coordinating with design teams and contractors
Documentation and reporting: Prepare daily and progress reports, maintain project records, and manage all correspondence and document control
Contract and cost management: Track and process contractor submittals, RFIs, and payment estimates. Review and manage change orders, assessing their impact on cost and schedule
Stakeholder communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the client, contractor, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and execution
Safety management: Monitor work zone safety and ensure compliance with all relevant safety policies and regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management field
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or ability to transfer license to Texas
10+ years of experience in bridge construction inspection and project management
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and standards
Proficient in project management software, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Preferred
Civil or structural engineering degrees are preferred
