Latitude 33 Planning & Engineering is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Land Survey Field Assistant. The role involves assisting in conducting boundary and topographic surveys and construction staking, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and accurately while working closely with the survey crew chief and other team members.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting land surveys and construction staking by collecting accurate measurements using robotic total stations, GPS systems, laser scanners and drones

Set up and maintain survey equipment

Help in marking reference points and establishing lines and grades

Perform physical tasks such as carrying equipment, digging holes, hammering stakes and hubs into the ground, and clearing brush as needed

Record data and prepare sketches, maps, and reports for use by surveyors and other professionals

Follow safety procedures and ensure that all surveying activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner

Communicate effectively with survey crew chief and other team members to ensure that surveying projects are completed on time and within budget

Maintains survey equipment and keep survey truck stocked with necessary tools and supplies
