Responsibilities

Responsible for the development of the Bureau of Prison’s (BOP) use of the internet
Development of policies for the agency’s presence on the Internet
Development and management of the agency’s use of the Internet to provide information to the public
Development of the BOP’s intranet, including the development of the overall focus and concept for the agency’s Intranet system; management of the website, and the coordination of the agency-wide requirements and priorities
Developing and overseeing the development of web-based applications
Develop, enhance, maintain and upgrade the Bureau’s content management system
Investigates and implements new and emerging information technologies

Required

U.S. Citizenship is Required
You must have IT related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to detail, Customer Service, Oral communication, Problem Solving
You must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
Initial appointment to a supervisory/managerial position requires a one-year probationary period
The incumbent is subject to geographic relocation to meet the needs of the agency
Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of a urinalysis, physical, and background investigation
All applicants are subject to National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and credit checks
Current federal employees NOT employed by the Bureau of Prisons MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment, tenure group, and salary
To receive credit for experience contained in an application, the experience must be documented reflecting start date and end date in month/year format (MM/YYYY) AND include the number of hours worked per week
